Last weekend, Casey and I visited Heritage Farm with some of his labmates. The leaves are changing colors here in middle Vermont/NH, so the drive to the farm was quite beautiful. The farm itself is located in Sanbornton, NH (about 1.5 hours away from our home).

While in Honolulu we got the chance to dine at Alan Wong’s. We found the food quite tasty and the presentation excellent (with an amazing attention to detail). We snapped quite a few pictures of the food.

For our anniversary, we bought ourselves a one-cup coffee/tea maker. We purchased the Keurig B40 and so far have no complaints. This machine uses “k-cups” instead of tea bags or coffee grinds–simply pop in the k-cup of choice and brew.

Kubuntu has worked quite well on the Latitude D800 that I was provided with by the lab. I have noticed one issue that is probably connected to what others have noticed as well. I noticed that the laptop locks up at boot when trying to load the network drivers, but only occasionally. […]
